Equine Assisted Therapy

We offer equine assisted therapy services for children and adults. All of the revenue from equine-assisted activities directly benefits the horses. If you are interested in learning more about the therapy program click here.

Sponser a Horse

The following is a list of continuous needs for a single horse. Your donations funds will help to purchase any of the following. 

  • Feed/Hay/Supplements- Horses typically consume up to 20lbs of forage per day. The average bale of quality Orchard/Alfalfa hay is $16 per 50lb bale. Horses also eat pelleted feed and other supplements relevant to their specific needs, average cost ranges from $22-$36 per 50lb bag. 
  • Routine Veterinary & Farrier Services- hoof trimming $50 or set of shoes $100 every 6 weeks, dental maintainence $125 twice a year, worming 4x year (varies $10-$84), biannual vaccines $68, 1x yr/rabies $15, annual coggins $35
  • Horse Supplies- seasonal fly repellant, fly masks, hoof oil, hay nets, manure disposal tools, winter turnout sheets, vetwrap, ulcergard, and sand-clear are always needed. 
  • Emergency Vet Fund-Under the best of circumstances sometimes horses get sick or injured. An emergency vet call is easily $100 just for a farm visit and can escalate in the range of $500-$2000. Having an emergency fund is critical to averting financial disaster. We use Performance Equine Vets and Southern Equine Service in Aiken.
